Erin first came to The Birth Center as a client, when she gave birth to her daughter in 2014. As Erin says, “Sometimes life takes you in a different direction than you planned.” Here is a bit of her background:
Her passion for caring for women and babies led her to earn her RN degree from American River College in 2011. She gained a background in medical-telemetry, trauma, post-surgical, and oncology nursing. She has also become a Certified Lactation Specialist.
After her self-described “difficult but exhilarating labor” at The Birth Center (she has had two babies here at TBC), she couldn't imagine having a baby any other way. That led her to join The Birth Center team as an RN. She says that her “biggest thrill is witnessing first time parents welcome their baby into the world. It's not just the birth of a baby, but the birth of a family!”
Erin says, “When I'm at The Birth Center, I feel at home, like I'm returning to my roots. It's an honor to be part of The Birth Center family, and I hope play a part in helping families being born for years and years to come.
